Circe Paper

This assignment was a culmination of the skills I learned in that class. We were asked to select a myth, for which I chose Circe, and analyze pieces of art made using that myth as inspiration chronologically. What was so intriguing about this assignment was to see the prominent influence ancient Greek culture still has on society today. The reason I chose to analyze Circe was because she is one of the first female powerhouses we see in Ancient Greek culture. She is seen as a figure of female power, seduction, and magical knowledge due to her role in Homer’s The Odyssey.
